By creating an account or using Runs Good (the app, the website at runsgood.app, and the services behind them), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher age your jurisdiction sets for consenting to online services) to have an account.
Runs Good keeps a maintenance record that is anchored to a machine, identified by its VIN, not to the person who typed it in. When you sell a machine through the app and the buyer claims it, the machine's history — service entries, meter readings, settings, receipts and parts — transfers to the buyer as part of the machine's record. You keep a read-only copy under “Machines you've sold.”
Entries are append-only. You cannot edit or delete a service entry, a meter reading or a setting change once it is recorded; you correct a mistake by adding a new entry that points at the old one, and both stay visible. The recording date is set by our server. This is what makes a Runs Good history worth something to a buyer, and it is not something we will change for an individual request.
You own what you record. You give us the licence we need to store it, sync it between our servers and your devices, show it to you, include it in the reports and share links you create, and transfer it to a buyer when you sell a machine. That licence lasts as long as the record exists, because a record that vanished when you deleted your account would be worthless to the buyer who now owns the machine.
You are responsible for what you enter and upload. In particular:
Setup suggestions come from an AI model given your machine's details and your description of a symptom. They are a starting point for your own judgement, one adjustment at a time, and nothing is applied to your record until you choose to apply it. They can be wrong. Do not treat them as advice from a qualified technician, and do not follow a suggestion you do not understand or that conflicts with your manual.
Factory figures (service intervals, stock settings) are found on the web or read from the manual pages you supply, and every figure shows where it came from. Model years and markets differ, sources contain errors, and extraction can misread a table. Verify a figure against your own manual before you rely on it — a wrong valve-check interval is an engine.
Recalls are matched from public agency data (in the United States, NHTSA and the CPSC) by year, make and model. A match means a published recall may apply to your machine; only the manufacturer or a dealer can confirm it against your VIN. The absence of a match is not evidence that no recall exists.
Maintenance on a powersports machine can hurt you or someone else if it is done wrong. You, or the professional you choose, are responsible for the work. Runs Good is a record of it, not a substitute for it.
Do not use Runs Good to break the law, to harass anyone, to probe or overload our systems, to scrape other people's records, or to build a competing dataset from the service. Do not try to get around the limits of a plan, reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows, or interfere with the bot-protection on signup. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Runs Good works offline and syncs when it can, but the service itself is provided as it is, when it is available. We may change or remove features, and we will try to give notice of anything that affects your records. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you a reasonable period to export your machines' histories first.
You can stop using Runs Good and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if your account is used to harm the service or other riders. Machine records that have transferred to buyers survive either way, as the Privacy Policy describes.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Runs Good is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI suggestions, factory figures or recall matches are accurate, complete or suitable for your machine.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Advanced Performance Solutions LLC and its people are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Runs Good — including damage to a machine, injury, or losses in a sale — even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is the case, they apply only as far as permitted.
If someone brings a claim against us because of records you entered, content you uploaded, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States state in which Advanced Performance Solutions LLC is organised (the state will be named here when the effective date is set), without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before either of us starts a legal action, we agree to try to resolve the dispute by contacting each other first — for us, that is support@runsgood.app. Where the law allows, courts in that State have exclusive jurisdiction.
If these terms change materially, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect and update the effective date above. Continuing to use Runs Good after that date means you accept the new terms. The current version always lives at runsgood.app/terms.
